Many monsters require you to have special oils on your blade to deal enough damage to reasonably combat them, ghosts especially. You have to be very careful in combat: don't ever get surrounded or cornered, don't ever allow an enemy to attack you from behind. The only problem that I had was about 2/3 of the way through the game, there's a boss fight outside of a ruined tower (deliberately vague to avoid spoilers) and this mod makes that fight significantly harder, it took me a lot of effort to get through it.Īll humanoids die easier, including Geralt. Combat felt more intense, and made more sense. I played the entire game through with this mod, and honestly the experience was great.
